For the past 20 years, le Festival de musique émergente en Abitibi-Témiscamingue, the FME, has helped Canadian artists make their big break and has shone a light on the cultural vitality of the region. Over this time, it has grown into one of the most popular cultural gatherings for music fans. We are delighted that the FME has found a wider audience beyond our borders.

Canadian Heritage and Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions are proud to partner with this sensational festival, which features talented regional artists and promotes tourism and the regional economy.

As Minister of Canadian Heritage and Minister responsible for Canada Economic Development for Quebec Regions, we congratulate organizers for their bold vision and applaud the energy of the volunteers who contribute to the success of this must-see festival. We wish everyone an unforgettable FME filled with discovery!

Music has no limits or boundaries

The Festival de musique émergente en Abitibi-Témiscamingue presents, this year, its 20th edition. This beautiful longevity is a pleasure to see, especially since this event, which has no equivalent in the country, is now a must on the cultural agenda of Quebec.

The Festival is the story of a bet taken up with brilliance by daring organizers. It is an event that owes its success to the happy encounter between surprising and interesting proposals and a varied public eager to become acquainted with avant-garde musical practices.

The Government of Québec is proud to have been associated, from the very beginning, with the success of an event that has become, over the years, a major artistic event and a unique tourist attraction.

Congratulations to the founders and organizers of the Festival de musique émergente en Abitibi-Témiscamingue who, thanks to the financial support of our government, maintain a high quality of programming from one edition to another.

To all, a great festival!
