The FME’s mission is to encourage the spread of original music and to contribute to the broader exposure of Canadian bands both nationally and internationally.

Goals

To encourage exchanges among emerging music artists and enthusiasts, both Canadian and international;
To be a regional economic engine of Abitibi-Témiscamingue;
To invigorate and provide original entertainment for young people in the region;
To help maintain a rich and healthy social scene.
