The Festival de musique \u00e9mergente en Abitibi-T\u00e9miscamingue<\/strong>, proudly presented by SiriusXM<\/strong>, invites you to its 24th edition<\/strong>. From September 3rd to 6th, 2026<\/strong>, Rouyn-Noranda<\/strong> hosts a plethora of headliners, emerging talent, and international exclusives offering music that combines unique sounds and an innovative approach. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

For several years, we have shared with the FME a common passion for discovering and promoting emerging local talent. FME unveils the artists programmed on the main outdoor stage for the \u00c9v\u00e9nements SiriusXM concert series<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Following his secret performance at FME<\/strong> last year, singer-songwriter Vincent Roberge, a.k.a. Les Louanges<\/strong>, headlines the Thursday lineup. Building on the success of his third album Alouette!<\/em>, he brings his modern blend of funk and soul, wrapped in refined pop production, to the \u00c9v\u00e9nements SiriusXM <\/strong>concert series. He is preceded by Bon Enfant<\/strong>, whose record Demande sp\u00e9ciale<\/em> won Rock Album of the Year at the last ADISQ Gala, and whose concerts feature a groovy pop ranging from glam and disco to folk and psychedelia. The evening also features Malaim\u00e9 Soleil<\/strong> and their soundtrack to memorable nights, quiet journeys, simple joys, and heavy hearts, right after Birds of Prrrey<\/strong>, a Riot Grrrl-inspired indie rock trio, kicks off the festivities on the traditional 7e Rue stage.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Friday evening is dedicated to rhythmic verses, with the festival presenting Koriass<\/strong>, a true pillar of Quebec rap who has been accumulating accolades for two decades now. He shares tracks from Sept ans de malheur<\/em>, his seventh studio album, which includes the hit singles: \u201cBasse couture\u201d, \u201cD\u00e9tour (feat. St-Prince)\u201d, and \u201cVingt-quatre heures\u201d. Opening for him is Kamilou<\/strong>, whose music skillfully fuses a multitude of genres, from rap to trap, including jazz, pop, and soul, with lyrics that address resilience, love, and social struggles. Next is Aswell<\/strong>\u2019s new live concert titled Berger<\/em>, where he blends rap, pop, trap, drill, and folk, a formula that should \u201ccement the guitar-playing rapper in the local hip-hop landscape.\u201d (La Presse).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Saturday\u2019s lineup kicks off at 7 p.m. with the Nouvelles Ondes SiriusXM<\/strong> finale. Hawa B<\/strong>, an artist who defies labels, opens the evening with a performance that creates a space where you can twerk or headbang, laugh or cry all in the same breath. She is followed by N Nao<\/strong>, a regular on the Polaris Music Prize Long List\u2014L\u2019eau et les r\u00eaves<\/em> (2024) and Nouveau Langage<\/em> (2025)\u2014who embraces an ecofeminist approach, drawing on dreams and rituals to shape her experimental pop. The night then shifts into a rock-driven direction with Grand Eug\u00e8ne<\/strong>, delivering an indie sound with a dreamlike quality, carried by hushed vocals and soft, textured arrangements. The winner will receive a $25,000 grant and the opportunity to perform at MaMA Music & Convention in Paris. Closing the night, we have Lou-Adriane Cassidy<\/strong>, \u201can essential voice, a modern storyteller who invites her audience to dream bigger\u201d (Radio-Canada) as evidenced by her most recent works: the already neo-classical Journal d’un Loup-garou<\/em> as well as Triste Animal<\/em>, an album she willfully released without notice just a few months later.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As a bonus, the FME presents a series of concerts under the stars taking place at Sc\u00e8ne Fizz<\/strong> (also located on 7e Rue). From Thursday to Saturday, we are treated to: new Arbutus signing Public Appeal<\/strong>, who recently showcased more of their avant-garde pop on a new full-length; Jashim<\/strong>, a key figure in Montreal’s underground Latin scene, with Cult MTL describing their music as \u201c2000s sun-soaked rhythms [that] meets hyper-pop\u201d; and Aizysse Baga<\/strong>, an artist from the 2SLGBTQIA+ community whose electro-pop and alternative universe combines stage performance, flamboyant aesthetics, and socially conscious lyrics.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Passports on sale starting today<\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Our various passports are available starting now. To mark this launch and the constant commitment of our festival-goers, the FME is offering a discount on the purchase of various passports. Two options are available to music aficionados.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

First, the outdoor passport provides access to the three evenings\u2014Thursday, Friday, and Saturday\u2014on 7e Rue. Until July 1st, it costs $55 ($65 starting July 2nd).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The “Best Life” passport grants access to all shows. Until July 1st, it costs $200 ($220 starting July 2nd).<\/p>\n\n\n\n
